I apologize for the question but in my searching of Spiceworks and elsewhere, I liccensing seem to get a straight answer on the question of activation and license keys. I have 3 licenses of Win Server R2 datacenter. I have 3 ESXi 5. So I’m covered with 1 datacenter /18967.txt per host.

Where I’m lost is, how do I “assign” a license to each host? And more importantly, when I start building R2 virtual machines, winodws product key am I activating with? Do I install the Datacenter edition and use the license key associated with it?
