Hey so I’ve been having a very baffling problem that I was hoping you guys could help me with. My 8 year old HDD finally failed on me earlier today, my boot times had been really slow lately and today when I tried to boot it up it just went to the blue Windows recovery screen.

I just wanted to do a totally clean install on the SSD and worry about recovering from my old hard drive later.

However when I put in the bootable USB and tried to boot from it the Windows logo would pop up, and then the computer would go back to the recovery screen. So we totally disconnected the old hard drive and disabled all bootable drives in the BIOS aside from the USB, and it would still go to the Recovery screen, or sometimes it would give me an error saying that the file was corrupted.

So after downloading a new ISO from microsoft’s website, using the Windows 10 image creator, and testing on 3 different USB drives, nothing has changed except now instead of going to the recovery screen, I just see a windows logo for 20 seconds before my system restarts.

I’m totally lost. Going to try a DVD with my friend tomorrow but at this point I’m not even sure that would work. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d appreciate it. You may also download installation media and use it to restore from a system restore point or reset your PC.
