Anyway, I was considering upgrading to PRO from because I was getting the repeated Net frame upgrade error so I went to Amazon and began reading all the negative reviews and was frankly afraid to buy this. I considered competing software but In the end I decided to go with QB which I’ve been using since and to take the chance.

My worst fear was that the version would corrupt my data. Anyway, I ordered the disk version since so many were reporting issues trying to access the download program. When i installed it I stopped all antivirus services on my machine Eset, Windows Defender, and Malwarebytes and ran through the installation process.

Then I opened PRO and converted the existing company files. The good news is everything went smoothly. Not one hiccup. I’ve been using the new install for 24 hours including opening and closing several times and have not had any issues. Finally switched over from Quicken to Quickbooks after a decade.

Had tried doing it 5 years ago, but the increase in complexity was too much. This time, I paid a bookkeeper to help me set it up, and after my first day on my own I know I’ll never go back to Quicken. If you have a small business or three and are hesitating at spending a couple hundred on Quickbooks, go ahead and do it. Even though I don’t use payroll or inventory, Quickbooks’ basic functionality and invoicing makes it worth it. Allows me to track 3 businesses and personal banking on the same software, between 5 bank accounts Hint: use classes.

Just found out it can download my banking information and memorize entries No more repetitive typing of McDonalds and Sonic! When I do get stuck, lots of help online. Highly recommend, as if the world doesn’t already know. Oh my gosh! I keep books for my husband, who is building houses with a partner. I have called QuickBooks for help a time or two, and they like to dance all around the problem without answering the question because they want to sell you an online assistance program that is very expensive.

However, I have gotten just enough information out of them to get set up and going. I have reconciled two or three times, and I’m good to go. You have to stay with it, use critical thinking skills, and search for online answers to problems as they arise.

Perseverance pays off. The Desktop version is cheaper, and we don’t use payroll, so it’s probably the best answer for our situation. Nobody has access to it but me, and I have it loaded onto two computers. I have to reenter information, but that works because I rethink and doublecheck myself.

I hated the program until I finally figured it out, and now I love it. You just have to pull a few all-nighters and stay with it. It will finally all fall into place. I would definitely recommend the product for a small business. Just don’t expect QuickBooks to provide a lot of answers unless you are a bulldog. One person found this helpful. QuickBooks , in my opinion, is probably the best business software for small to large businesses.

It’s interface is clear and concise and you can purchase the level of software you want. The “Pro” version is the lowest priced version and should suit most companies that want a simple solution to the daily tracking of your business income and expenses.

When speaking with support at Quickbooks, I had a representative and a supervisor assist me but they said I would have to go to the ‘next’ level of support which would cost me money. They did a remote connection and tried to uninstall and reinstall QB which was unsuccessful.

That’s pretty much all they did. They did manage to change the access under the security tab in my Quickbooks file to where I no longer have permission to access any of the files. So I cannot change or delete any intuit files. As long as you are the administrator on your computer, you can correct the security permissions so that you can use the files again.

In fact it might be a good idea to make a backup of your important QuickBooks files and finance info first just so it is safe during further troubleshooting. And speaking of further troubleshooting, I’d like to make a couple of suggestions, in no particularly order.

I have been running Quickbooks desktop ap with Windows 10 without any problems until my computer ran an automatic upgrade.

Now Quickbooks will not open at all. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the ap several times. Everything looks like it installs correctly and then when I click on the icon to open QB, it starts to open and then just goes back to my desktop.

I have called Quickbooks, but that has been hours and hours of searching down rabbit trails with no success. I am hoping someone understands this issue and can help me figure this out. Restart computer. Before installing it again, right-click on the setup program and choose “Run as administrator” instead just double-clicking it normally. See if it works when installed this way. Login to that user profile, and try using QuickBooks inside there instead to see if it works.

Right-click the QuickBooks program icon and choose troubleshoot compatibility. Although if you are on the version it should already be compatible.

Make sure you don’t have any updates waiting. This site in other languages x.
