Is there anyway to retrieve my licence key. I purchased the key from a cheap on line software company, but it was legit and registered with Microsoft OK. I can’t find the email in which the key was sent. I used Belarc advisor and it can only find the last 5 letters of the key. I need to uninstall it so that I can install project to run a course next week, and then I need to reinstall it to run a course on project in a few weeks time.

I’ll be happy to help you out today. Since Office , product keys are handled differently that earlier versions of Office and thus harder, if not impossible, to extract.

You can try any number of 3rd party tools on the Internet, but I cannot recommend any because those that claim to be able to do this cost, and if you find one that is asking to pay, you likely will find somewhere in the fine print that it cannot extract keys for Office and higher.

It appears from something I read after posting that the windows installer likely deleted all but the last 5 characters of the licence key after installation was complete. My bad for not looking after the key better.
