The Action Centre was able to display notifications that I could select on and it would open the email, which is good. I then added a third email account, a Microsoft Exchange another work account and when I added the third, the notifications went grey and I couldn’t select them to open any email from any account. It seems in my case at least when you have 3 accounts added to Outlook , it no longer works in the Action Centre.

I tried deleting the 3rd account and seeing if that fixed the Action Centre but it did not. I think the only way to fix this is to clean install Windows 10 and don’t have more than 2 accounts added. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.

I currently receive all notifications from Outlook on the desktop alert as well as inside Action Center. The Desktop alert is clickable, which opens the email. However, the Action Center alerts are grayed out and not, well, actionable. The only thing I can do to these notifications is dismiss them. They don’t even dismiss themselves when the message has been read. Is this by design? I’ve tested this on 2 administrator accounts with the same results.

Ideally, you’ll want the available actions to be those that you use often. Through your computer’s settings, you can determine which actions appear in the Action Center. The four actions in the top row under the Quick actions heading are the four that will appear on the first row of your Action Center. Remember, the top row of actions appears even when actions are collapsed. You can customize your notification preferences, including notification priority for those appearing in your Action Center.

Set priorities for which apps are more important to you than others and have their notifications appear at the top of your notification list.
