The game lets the player get into the role of the protagonist, and choose his side to dive into the game world where he must fight against other factions, kill enemies, complete challenging quests, and earn experience points. With superb mechanics, addictive gameplay, brilliant visuals, and excellent sound, Valkyria Chronicles is the best game to play and enjoy.

Dokapon Kingdom is a hybrid board video game that allows me to spin a spinner and struggle to move to any spot on a given board by moving lots of numbers of spaces. I have to choose the direction towards which I want to go.

I can encounter multiple strange travelers who assist me in completing various quests and missions. The game introduces a battle system along with the attack option and permits me to beat opposing players to gain several rewards.

I can get multiple magic and improve class-specific skills by gathering different upgradeable instruments. Dokapon Kingdom is a superb video game that offers numerous characters and allows me to select one from them to get into the world.

Each of these characters contains its unique abilities and skills. It enables me to take control of a protagonist and start my journey to take down lots of evil forces.

Throughout the game, I need to put my all efforts to rescue the princess. I have to play different sorts of strategy games and gain a large number of points to get a victory.

Such a game proposes lots of heads to head experience and lets me play four characters at the same time against each other. Dokapon Kingdom is a superb video game that allows up to four players to compete against each other and struggle to capture towns. If you are not a fan at least one of these then, playing alone, you might enjoy the irreverent humor while exploring the large cartoon world, but sure enough, the feeling of a tediously long game of monopoly will begin to creep in and sap away the fun.

Luckily, the strength of the game is playing with friends like Mario Party. What sets this game apart is the RPG gameplay distribute stat points, collect equipment and items, play as varios classes, fight monsters for xp, etc and the playful backstabbing competition it encourages when you defeat another player you can change their hair, draw on them, change their name, etc. A single game could last for days you can save and resume later, thankfully but hours is more typical. For people who are already fans of Dokapon’s influences, this game will be addictive.

For everyone else, Dokapon will get old after a while, but there’s still a lot of fun to be had with friends in this quirky adventure. I’m in the former category, but I’ve seen plenty of people in the latter fully enjoy Dokapon as well. Highly recommended! The game creators had a great sense of humor and the art is really fun.

You work your way around the world to save it from evil, bashing each other all the way to try to stay on top. The game uses rock-paper-scissors as it’s base and all contests seem to be some form of this game. The game is balanced to be rather easy to play, expect to kill a lot of the bad guys in one hit.

To balance this the creators threw in tons of ways to curse and hinder each other. It make cooperating almost impossible, the best you can do is avoid hurting each other, but even that is inevitable sometimes. The game is rigged to boot, even if you’re a halfway decent player, expect the game to pound you to pieces to ensure you never get out of last place. It’s designed for whoever is the game’s ‘favorite’ of the chapter to pull ahead, if you’re not the favorite then there’s little hope to get anywhere.

It’s really sad because the game has so much awesome packed into it! But rather than having an honest random number generator, it’s got that rigged nonsense that will leave you trying to get into a castle for months on end while the AI’s zip around the map getting perfect rolls every time. The game also gets a little crude by having the girls wear next to nothing in some of their outfits. Quite lame. One person found this helpful.

It’s a shame, because it’s the freshest take on the “boardgame” genre that I’ve seen in a while. The front cover is a bit deceiving, as it looks unbearably cute. But what you have is a game that rewards strategic gameplay, has enough luck to even things out, and that provides lots of opportunities to be mean to friends and family members.

In the game, you roll a spinner and move the corresponding number of spaces around a board that is a map of Dokapon Kingdom. Much of what you will do involves fighting monsters. Your success depends on two things: your stats and your choice of battle tactics. If you defeat monsters, you will earn experience and money, which allow you to level up, improve your stats and buy more weapons, items and magic for use in the battles. If you lose, usually you die, which means you need to take a random number of turns to recover before you can rejoin the game.

There are also several special spaces that are shops, free items, or random encounters with the various characters that wander the boards. Usually, the goal is to amass the most wealth, both in money and towns you control, but you can change the victory conditions.

What makes Dokapon especially fun is the ability to interact with your opponents. You can directly battle them and, if victorious, steal items or humiliate them by changing their names or giving them bad haircuts.

You can even get disguises so that if you do something bad in the game, your opponent will get blamed. In the story mode, there are sometimes quests that only one person can complete and it is very lucrative to do so. This sparks a mad rush to the same spot on the map.

This game really shines as a multiplayer game; although you can play a single player version, it’s more fun to play with friends. The game isn’t perfect. Sometimes, the randomness can get a bit frustrating. The battles can get a bit repetitive. It can get frustrating trying to land on a particular spot as you wait for exactly the right spinner number to come up. The interface is a little clunky and doesn’t really make use of the Wii’s point and click abilities, which would have streamlined things.

But despite these flaws, it’s a lot of fun and there is a surprising amount of depth and strategy to be had. It’s cheaper than most Wii games, which makes this a great bargain. Plus, the game plays more like a board game than any other game of this nature. Other titles use the board game format as an aesthetic choice. This game decides to lean in on this and offer a format abundant with features, tactical options and gameplay styles that make one game different from the last. Plus, the game presentationally, is nothing to write home about. The graphics are akin to budget Wii games of the era, the UI is simple yet still clunky and the performance of the game itself is a little shaky at times too.

I used to love getting together with some friends and playing Dokapon Kingdom for the Wii only reason I still have it.

I liked the rpg mechanics along with the competitive board game style. Come on! No love for the poo hair? I wish something like this existed too but it’s probably not happening. People are pretty anti-board game style games due to the Wii U’s infamous patterns. I really enjoyed that game and the rest of the party games feel a bit shallow after Dokapon.

I have fond memories of everybody putting their rivalry aside to team up and save the player who had finally gotten the item to change to a class we had never seen before jester, I think? Jamez 4 years ago 7. Dokapon Kingdom sucked, as there was little you can do to manipulate what would happen in the following 3 turns tested via emulation using save states. The concept of playing competitive board games with your friends while conversing is slowly becoming a dead idea. I guess in a real life context, there are several issues. One, it’s incredibly hard to have more than 1 person who are willing to hop in between the games of this genre. It’s also difficult to expect those people to play those games in the competitive spirit that those games require of the people.

Two, competition in a non-competitive scene is already contradictory. A game cannot be created with the expectation that people who are already acquainted in a physical capacity are willing to take a game seriously in a competitive sense because at the end result, there are gonna be some degree of salt and bad sentiment, which doesn’t breed replayability.

This can be somewhat avoided if the games are between people who aren’t necessarily physically acquainted or obligated to be acquainted, but the problem with online is that people don’t have the obligation to stay in the game for literal several hours at a time.

Board game games are inherently a losing battle 😛 Only if it didn’t take like 10 hours to finish one game of Dokapon, but you’d lose the complexity of the game, which is its main charm imo, despite being a board game luck based game.
