I now have a product which I like and paid for, but can no longer use. And there appears to be nothing I can do about it. Having spent many hours trying to penetrate the barriers with which Acronis has insulated itself from having to deal with their Customers, I am now reduced to advising others to be aware that they are buying a good product, but if they need help, they’re on their own.

Reactivating your copy of Acronis True Image or moving the installation to a different machine. If you want to use Acronis True Image on more machines than you license allows, you will need to purchase additional serial number s and activate the new copies. If you have reinstalled or upgraded your operating system or hardware, or simply moved the product to a different machine, reactivate Acronis True Image in the new environment. Choose the machine whose activation you want to cancel this will be most likely an previous installation that you are not going to use anymore and click Move license :.
Reading works. I’ve forwarded the information about the issue to the responsible team, they might shed the light to the situation. I’ll update you once I receive a reply from them. OK, this was happening to me intermittently for the last month or so – but now it happens EVERY day – so I simply deactivate it on my computer and promise that’s what I am doing and then I restart my machine or the software to reactivate it on the SAME computer BUT now I keep getting the “too many activations” message each time after restarting – real bummer – I thought it was my machine somehow changing it’s identity at least according to the Acronis software.
I have not been able to resolve the problem. Initially, this seemed to have worked because the “about” window clearly indicated activation was now OK. However later in the day when I re-opened windows, I again had the box telling me, I had too many activations and when I checked the “about” window it now showed “30 days left for activation”. This software was purchased in October and updated to the latest build recently. Just for information purposes do you have TI installed as a single user or all users?
I’m just wondering if this could be a user ID problem rather than a system ID one. Today the “too many activations” box came up after I logged on, but when I checked the about window, it is now showing “Full Version Activated”. I wonder if the Acronis authentication server was either overloaded or there was difficulty getting to the server, suddenly it got through and now all is OK with the world – of course discount that thought if tomorrow the same thing happens again.
To find the exact reason of the encountered issue we need a remote access to your system. If you agree to provide us with it, please send me a PM. Only a guess but I suspect that when you boot up your machine and the ati services load, ati tries to verify activation, and if it does this before the network service is up and running, it will fail and the result is an error message about activation.

Thank you for your help. I have corrected the problem, and TI is now re-activated. This was a problem with Windows Internet Explorer 11, or the installation of Windows Internet Explorer 11 on this computer.
I un-installed IE 11 and went back to IE After computer reboot, the connection to the Acronis Activation website worked correctly, and re-activation was no problem. Program will not run without crashing. I believe I read and followed the on-line documentation for preforming moving the software to a new PC but the program still complains. Authored on.
