Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus – Old Games Download

The goal of the game is to build the Wand of Light, which involves finding three things: a measure of courage, a ring of love, and a gem of ice. The Wand of Light is the only thing that can defeat the evil Wenlock, who has turned the King and Queen Annika’s parents into stone and her sister, Brietta, into a Pegasus. Annika is Barbie’s character, and kids play as the princess. A crystal bell is always available to children as they play the game.

Clicking on the bell icon pulls up instructions as to what to do next. The first task of the game is to find Shiver, Barbie’s polar bear cub sidekick. This little mission helps acquaint children with the controls of the game—they direct Barbie using the arrow keys on their keyboard. The next set of tasks involves practicing jumping, flying, and skating before Barbie can begin the adventure. They are nothing great, but at least each one has its own kind of style. Each world has multiple levels for you to beat until you move onto the next one.

The game is rather easy, but the difficulty does get more challenging so there is a nice progression here for younger gamers. One thing that these Barbie games do better than people give them credit for is the abilities that they give Barbie. Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus has Barbie using a magic wand and as you progress through the game you get new abilities that you can use.

You use the wand to turn people back from stone which is what you will spend most of your time doing. There is some exploration here, but none are that hard to find. Eventually, Barbie will have to use her special powers such as melting ice with the ember ability and one that allows her to float. These do add a bit of variety to the gameplay, as do the boss battles. The boss battles are really, really easy, but they do help keep things interesting.

The horse I am sure is a big part of the movie, heck it is in the title! Here though, you really only get to use it on the bonus stage where you try to collect coins. Again, this helps add a bit of variety to the game so it is a welcome addition. I do though feel that some kids will be disappointed they do not get to use the magical flying horse more than the game allows.

I would say that Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus is not a bad game at all. It is rather short like most of the other Barbie games and it is not all that hard.
