That it doesn’t work in your programs suggests that some other program has hijacked the shortcut. The first step is to verify that the shortcut is still assigned in Office. Set the category to All Commands and select the SmallCaps command on the right. If the correct assignment was already in place, you’ll have to try to hunt down whatever other program has grabbed the shortcut for its own.

Poking about in Publisher , I couldn’t find any way to make a custom shortcut. Sub ToggleSmallCaps Selection. SmallCaps End Sub.

But unlike Word and Excel, there is no such thing as a global macro that’s available in all Publisher documents; the macro needs to be stored in each document individually. That’s unsupportable. In reply to South Haven’s post on July 21, I’m happy to hear that you got Word’s problem sorted. I was able to write a macro to toggle the small caps setting for selected text: Sub ToggleSmallCaps Selection.

Thanks for the research and help. I’ve used Publisher for 20 years. I suppose there must have been a reason but I sure do miss it.

For now I will grab the mouse and go through that sequence of clicks to get it done. This site in other languages x.
