I can get to the launcher alright but when it starts installing, the launcher just suddenly quits.

However it appears to keep running in the background according to Task Manager. I’ve asked the Help desk numerous times and they’ve been unable to figure out a solution.

Does anyone know what’s going on? We all know that there are no such things a female gamers. Has Playstation Home taught us nothing?

BledAngelShadow 11 years ago 4 I bet some dude bricked his router trying to figure out why this patch wasn’t dling right While this is great for those that don’t want to wait, if you progress through the beginning of the game faster than your system can download and install the data, you’ll eventually get to a point where you can’t proceed any further because the system hasn’t downloaded that content yet. Sounds like that may be what happened to you.

I started playing when I finished downloading the game and the update from PSN. After doing the tutorial and trying to get out of safe house it says i can’t until the game is finished downloading. The chat interface is confusing and difficult to use. The powers and attacks are very cool but the attack combos have a high learning curve to use effectively.

Powers are standard target and press button to activate. Just know what they do because sometimes effects of one power will stack with that of another of yours or a team mates. Bottom Line – I would not be willing to pay a subscription fee to play this game. SOE’s billing method is horrid. I would suggest you check and make sure you can actually subscribe before purchasing this game. SOE wouldn’t accept my card even though everything was valid and I checked with my bank to make sure everything was correct.

Their tech support was a little rude to me as well through the whole ordeal. I finally got tired of being on the phone with them and just gave up trying to subscribe. Searching around the web I have seen that many other people have the same issues with SOE not accepting their card for subscription.

Thankfully Amazon refunded me so I didn’t have to eat the cost of a game I can’t even play. I beta tested this game and canceled my pre-order because it was that bad. The controls are horrible. It’s not worth a monthly fee to play. If it were a one time purchase, I may have gotten it. I had very high hopes for DCUO and followed it’s creation from the time the website appeared online. I was so excited. Then I played the beta and realized it was trash. Don’t waste your time.

This could have been a great game. It’s not. Edit: For those of you with adorable assumptions-I have played the retail version. I’m merely stating it was so bad during a ‘beta’ version that I actually canceled. Don’t waste your money or your time. Get fast answers from reviewers.
